Ehanis is a young asari mercenary living in [[Erantha]], a small town within [[Freedom Falls]]'s territory. She worked for [[Redrock Agency]] until she disappeared following the [[Event:The Last Child|rescue mission]] to save [[Li]].

== Appearance ==
She have a pale sky blue skin color. She has a very youthful face, which doesn't lend her much authority in her work as a mercenary. Her crests are of the same color and well kept with few discolorations. Ehanis has no facial markings, which might make recognizing her a challenge for an alien unskilled in the art of distinguishing asari. She is also not that tall for an asari; standing at 170cm / 5'7".

== History ==
=== Childhood ===
A daughter of an asari programmer and a former turian combat engineer, she had a quite easy childhood living in Serrice. She lived in the moment as a kid, not really doing well in education – lacking a long-term goal. She had an interest for biotics from an early age, and her father took her to the Range quite a few times – how turians bond with their kids, she figured. At around age forty, she left along with her mother and father to Illium, something which eventually severed her connection with family back on Thessia, including her half-sister [[Ilyna T'Rea|Ilyna]].

=== Omega ===
Like many maidens around the age of sixty, she made her way out to see the galaxy beyond, and made the terrible decision of going to Omega. Her mother understood her, but her father argued against it. She listened to her mother, but it was her father that was right, for it took only days before she had her first close call on Omega after leaving the hotel unprepared for the dangers the gloomy streets on Omega posed. With a great deal of luck and a helpful bystander, she got out of the situation.

One might argue this friend was a mixed blessing, even if her interference saved Ehanis' life, for it was what set Ehanis on the path to becoming a mercenary. It wasn't a lose for the other asari, either, as a partner to watch your back is invaluable as a merc on Omega. Over three decades later, they were still doing that sort of work, but they kept out of meddling with big names and others that would lead to severe repercussions. Just enough to get by – plus a few drinks.

Somewhere on the latter half of 2183, Ehanis got to meet [[Ilyna T'Rea|her sister]] again on Illium while staying at her mother's apartment. It wasn't the best reunion considering what was going in in her sister's life at the time, but in the end, they promised to not let them be drifted apart again. Ehanis occasionally visit her sister's family on Thessia, as well. She stayed with her job, sometimes even getting into arguments with her sister about it.

With the plague and increased gang activity that marked the middle of 2185 – and getting shot after by a little-too-paranoid Blue Suns sentry when on a job near their territory – she decided it was high time to leave that shithole for good. She traveled for a few days around the Terminus Systems, but seeing that she couldn't keep that up in the long-term, decided to try out a town her sister has talked about: [[Freedom Falls]]. At least, until Omega went back to how it was before.

=== Aite ===

The new place felt like a vacation at first much more than a new life for her, and that's how she treated it. She let loose, partied, slept with near-strangers, everything the older asari maidens likes to deny that asari maidens do. She may still do many – if not all – of these things, but the tone of her stay here has changed drastically.

Ehanis met [[Sioria Felcolus|a turian woman]] early on, and the two of them got quite close at one point. Ehanis prefers to keep people at an arms length. Even those she ends up sharing a bed with on one or two occasions. Ehanis has been less inclined to reach out to her lately, for reasons she has not explained.

She, along with Sioria, got interested in the local mercenary company [[Redrock Agency]] and decided to apply. However, one of them were close friends with her sister, so her employment has been rocky from the start. [[Jason Wolfe|Jason]] always made sure to clear everything with her sister and Ilyna was not going to let her get the really exciting jobs.

=== Wish ===
She really got what she wished for when [[Linda S. Vasquez|Vasquez]] wrote her up on the roster for the [[Ruins of Rakhana|expedition to Rakhana]] without talking with her sister about it. That had put Ehanis firmly in the middle a conflict between her sister and the agency, as well as forced Ilyna to be more active in reaching an agreement with her. Both being stubborn in their ways, that may take a while.

It wasn't all great that she finally got what she wished for, however, because that job went to hell fairly quickly. When it seemed to have gone really well, a conflict between the drell researchers and the researcher representing the Council's interests [[Namira D'Ralis]] resulted in the researchers shooting her and fleeing the scene. There's few things Ehanis hates more than backstabbing employers, and she wasn't going to let them get away with it.

Another thing that still bothers her about the mission was the terrifying creature that almost ate her whole. She managed to stop it in the last second by feeding it a warp field, causing it to retreat. The item she risked everything for turned out to be worthless, as far as she knows. She was and still is reluctant to talk about it, and [[Ilyna T'Rea|Ilyna]] hasn't heard a peep of it from her. And the drell told her that the 'Rakhana Maw' wasn't a thing, the liars.

Then there's the split-up near the end of their stay there. While it turned out to be a waste of time, she agreed then that [[Jason Wolfe|Jason]] was stupid for betting everything on [[Seriah]]'s lead. She also failed [[Steve Briggs]] when she and Nathan had to flee the scene without him. Which they barely did after Ehanis performed the stunt of jumping onto a moving vehicle.

The trip back wasn't smooth, either. They could not bring anything with them and [[Nathan Tennhausen|Nathan]] was too stubborn to follow her instructions, not believing his stupid excuses. At least he got spooked by a the second 'Rakhana Maw' contender, a great serpent living in the rocky maze. The eventually reached their destination and reunited with the rest of the agency's forces who had found a small group of surviving Eclipse mercenaries.

After the timely rescue and extraction by the [[Siren's Call]], she reuined with her sister. The trip home was quite awkward as her sister did not want to leave her out of sight for any longer than necessary.

After the mission, Ehanis and Nathan were rightfully concerned that Steve would seek revenge for being abandoned out there when things got too heated. They were civil to one another the next time they met, however, so she had reason to let her guard down.

=== Family ===
Things seemed to have returned to normal after the mission to Rakhana. Ehanis was a little easily provoked by her sister, but that wasn't much out of the ordinary given the two having a lot to work through after the fifty years of silence.

Her [[Vynira Tioran|mother]] showed up ahead of Jason and Vasquez' wedding without any warning; it must have been Ilyna who invited her. The matriarch managed to drag her out of the apartment the night before to get her a dress, and helped her put it on the morning after as this was a two-person job. Ehanis did not like it one bit, but her annoyance is probably why Vynira kept at it. Thankfully she was left alone for most of the evening.

Whether things would actually improve between them after this was unclear, and there was not enough time to find out.

=== Collectors ===
Ehanis sprang into action at the [[The Last Child|call for help]] from Vasquez that late November night, as it seemed a perfect opportunity to tag along on another job before [[Ilyna T'Rea|Ilyna]] could intervene. Little did she know that Ilyna turned out to be the closest thing this job had to a client.

Her involvement was indeed met with protest from Ilyna, but Ehanis did not heed her calls to stop. Ilyna was also in a reduced state from the cold exposure and Ehanis was dead set on going with the crew. [[Jason Wolfe|Jason]] also declined to get involved. The boarding ramp closed before Ehanis could be persuaded or thrown off the ship, and her role in this was then decided.

Ilyna tried to give Ehanis some lessons in biotic barriers to pass the time, but that was met with little success as Ilyna could not muster enough patience. Outside of that, Ehanis stayed out of Ilyna's way on the first leg of the trip and instead socialized with the other crew.

Ehanis did not turn out to be best equipped for the challenges that awaited them on this mission. While some of the others have met these monsters years prior, she had only heard stories. At one point during the mission she put the entire team in danger by getting the way of [[Oxaris Ortoratus]]'s stealthy takedown on the Collector Ship.

Despite that, the Redrock crew managed to hold their ground and free the civilians trapped in the pods, including [[Li]] who was about to be transported away along with two others. Here Ehanis could contribute more, as her biotics proved very effective at dealing with the collectors as most were soft targets. She also helped soften up a locked door with a warp field so [[Nathan Tennhausen]] could breach it, but by that point she was close to spent.

The victory of being reunited with Oxaris was short-lived as the collectors started pouring in from all directions. Whatever time their stealthy entrance had saved was now up. Ehanis wasn't instrumental in their escape the same way Nathan and Ilyna were, but she was another gun in their efforts to carve a path through the collectors.

All of Redrock Agency got out from the Collector Ship, but there were losses among the [[Jack of Diamonds]]' crew as well as some of the free captives. There was a confrontation with a husk that had come back to life to taunt them, which was enough for her to dismiss her post at the first convenience to seek out something with enough alcohol to numb her.

The trip home was tense, with everyone exhausted and shaken by their experiences. The Jack's crew had suffered the worst losses, including the captain's husband. Ehanis had gone through a whole flask of the vodka before lying down on the engineering floor, so she wasn't faring any better.

Ilyna tried to talk with Ehanis in one of the rare moments she wasn't with Li, but she was not interested.

=== Gone ===

After the Jack set down in Freedom Falls, everyone went home. Ilyna was busy looking after Li, and Ehanis stayed out of everyone's way. That is, until she showed up at Redrock HQ on the 3rd of December to exercise. [[Linda Vasquez]] was with her, and was the only one who received her informal resignation before she went to shower and leave.

Vasquez had assumed Ehanis told Ilyna about it, and was surprised to learn otherwise when she went to see Ilyna a few hours later. Ilyna went to investigate Ehanis apartment, but a violent encounter with the other resident meant she could not gather any information from that. She spared Vasquez crucial details for fear of small ears overhearing her, which lead to the threat Mian posed not being taken seriously until Ilyna told Halisi at night.

They brought a resisting Mian in for questioning that night. If one is to believe her words, Ehanis has been annoying to deal with since coming home, and it was outside Mian's experience to fix that. She had reached out to Ilyna for help, but that was a bridge she had burned before according to Ilyna, and the call was instantly rejected. After a fruitless search through the apartment, the trail ran cold.

The only sign of Ehanis for a while was a message sent to Jason on the 9th of December giving an update on how she is doing. She was sparse on details about her whereabouts, but the attached picture show her being an a boat about to leave port. The moon and ring in the background gave away that she has not traveled off-world. What she made abundantly clear is that she is resigning from her job at Redrock, and that she is expecting payment for the last job. Ehanis could not promise regular contact, offering the inconsistent extranet access on other parts of Aite as the reason why.

Ehanis sent another message later that month, with a picture of herself at a terminal booth in a bar. [[Ilyna T'Rea|Ilyna]] tasked [[Renala T'Iavay|Renala]] with trying to track her down based on the message. She interrupted a meeting between Ilyna and [[Sioria Felcolus|Sioria]] in the [[Miner's Respite]] after nailing down her location to a bar in [[Leyto Pangn]], though her methods remain unknown to this day. Renala urged them to consider whether they're doing the right thing in following her, but the two others were not going to let themselves dissuade and she was asked to hand over the data.

Sioria traveled with [[Jasper]] to the colony one day later after getting the approval from Jason to use [[Redrock Agency]]'s resources for this operation. Ilyna was worried Ehanis was in danger and was not going to let this lead slip them by. They stopped at the colony's indoor hub of commerce inside which was Ehanis' last known location.

Ehanis did not prove hard to find in the location, and she was angry at Sioria for tracking her down. The feeling was mutual, however, and an argument ensued while they were walking back to her room. It was in the evening and the storm had kept most of the residents at their home, so their argument did not spark any further trouble.

Ehanis began explaining herself, and the problems she had with her life in [[Freedom Falls]]. People cared for her for real reasons, not because they needed her in a fight or wanted something from her. It was a vacation at first, but as time went on, she had time to think; after thirty years living day by day on Omega, that was not a good thing in her eyes. This escape from [[Freedom Falls]] was a way for her to get back into the old rhythm. She also told her that she had been a horrible friend and wished Sioria would have called her out on it or treated her a way that she saw herself deserving, and urged her to seek better friends.

She regretted not giving the turian a proper goodbye, and after airing out their feelings, Ehanis agreed to meld with Sioria. While the asari's mind was a noisy place, the turian lacked a frame of reference to really notice the discrepancies. During this meld, Ehanis told her story about Omega in glimpses, their first meeting and every event – good or bad – that has made her who she is. She did not mean to, it was meant to be a review of their time together, and she mentioned as much at the end of their meld.

Sioria came away from this with disappointment. Ehanis being here was not a problem she could solve. The asari listening in earlier – called Siv by Ehanis – was not a threat. Ehanis explained that she has found a home and job in this colony, but she did not disclose its exact location. Only that it was nearby.

Ehanis promised to keep in touch, but time will tell if she keeps it.

== Skills ==
=== Biotics ===

Ehanis has received non-miliatry training in biotics and her thirty years on Omega has given her time to practice it. Her biotic skillset is fairly diverse, and more than one can expect from an asari her age. Her biotics hit fast and hard, but she's not able to keep it up for a prolonged engagement.

Her '''warp fields''' are the strongest, and she does not stay her hand if she believes they are the best tool for the current situation. It does wear her out quicker than her other abilities, but she is too short tempered to plan too many minutes ahead when outnumbered.

Her '''telekinetic fields''' aren't very precise. She can push a target or object hard, but anything more involved than that is only suited for light objects like bottles.

She can cover herself with a close-range '''barrier''' in her sleep, and can extend it far enough to not interfere if she remains stationary. That does give her the ability to provide cover for another person standing behind her. [[Ilyna T'Rea|Ilyna]] has tried to teach her to extend a barrier further, but so far Ehanis has not managed to pull that off.

Ehanis can also stop a single target in their tracks with a '''stasis field''', but the lack of investment in these fields means that it will only buy two to four seconds. She cannot control for this duration, which diminishes the tactical value of it.

She can use small weapons like pistols and submachine guns, but as she prefers biotics, her accuracy and precision with weapons is not very impressive.

The asari has lived on Omega for a long time, where communication is very difficult as automatic translation cannot keep up with all the obscure languages spoken. She learned enough of the krogan tongue spoken there to converse with Mian without translation.

Gren was given an OSD from [[Kanaya]] when he went to go get a drink, and it contained a recording from [[Aylena]] saying that she needed a team to come get here. The problem was, she asked him to be discreet about it, which meant he lied to [[Redrock Agency]] when contracting them to come with him. He hired Redrock on the false pretense that they were going after smugglers that worked with slavers and raiders.

=== The Bryant ===

The trip to the mission site was a tense one. [[Aylena]] had given [[Gren]] quite shaky intel to go on that would put him on the spot multiple times as they reached the planet. [[Ehanis]] and [[Nathan]] were fresh recruits that haven't proved themselves yet, so [[Vasquez]] and [[Mendez]] were rightly skeptical about their capabilities in the field.

The first complication was when the [[Nos Astra]] tower did not recognize them and redirected them to the town of [[Dalliren]] far north on the planet. And when they got there, they had no exact LZ, and the next step was to hope that Aylena contacts Gren with enough information. They eventually agreed to leave the Bryant and try to reach Aylena on the ground.

=== Rescue ===

The LZ was hot. Aylena's communications with them, while they were about to leave The Bryant, had a lot of background noise making that clear. She tried to give them coordinates, but it would take many attempts for her weak signal to carry the data through without corruption, and the Redrock shuttle quickly diverted course to move to their location.

A sweep of the area showed no enemies on the exterior of the L-shaped building, but they got some signals from inside the garage by the northeastern corner of the building. Gren was first out of the shuttle once they were close enough to the ground for him to drop, followed by Vasquez, Mendez, and Ehanis once they were at safe non-krogan deployment altitude.

They did not plan to breach through the garage door, choosing instead to go through the front door into the lobby. However, Nathan then reported that the garage door was opening, leaving them no choice but to go through there. They split the team, with Gren, Ehanis, and Mendez going in through the lobby while Vasquez and Nathan pushed into the garage.

The building had four hostiles: a turian in the lobby, a salarian in the hallway leading off of it, and a human and asari in the garage. Vasquez's suppressive fire kept the latter two mostly in cover. The turian in the lobby was quickly taken out by Gren, but the salarian proved to be more of a nuisance as he threw a grenade towards the group in the lobby. Gren tanked the hit and was a distance away, Ehanis was injured trying to get into an adjacent room while Mendez pushed towards the salarian.

After knocking out the salarian, Gren went further into the building; while Vasquez succeeded in getting the hostiles in the garage to surrender. Then he ran into an asari in different armor who aimed her rifle at him, which he knocked out of her hands with biotics. Aylena then stepped in front of her to tell him to stand down. He called Vasquez over, and she gave a brief explanation of the situation.

The asari in the garage took the chance offered by Vasquez walking away to knock Mendez over and run for the exit. She succeeded, but the combined attacks from Nathan, Vasquez, and Mendez cut her escape short. The Redrock team did not confirm her status before leaving, however. There were threats of reinforcements, so Redrock's team, Aylena, and her two mercenaries made a swift exit.

Ehanis' injuries needed immediate medical attention, so she was dropped off at the hospital. The surgery was paid for immediately by a [[Matriarch Vynira]], but Vasquez ordered extra security for her stay that was not covered by the matriarch. In the meantime, Aylena parted ways and paid her pair of mercenaries. As Ehanis was secured, the Redrock team made their way back to The Bryant.

Va'ynna is an asari maiden working at the [[Miner's Respite]], where she has learned enough to do almost all the day-to-day work under their roof. She lives with [[Victoria]] and is walked to work every day by either her or [[Uvena]] after the [[Skipping Work|incident in October 2185]].

== Appearance ==
The first thing that sticks about is her tall, slender build; she stands at 184cm (6' ½"). She has a intense purple skin color and sports only very faint green markings: two short green rays on the brows, just above the eyes. Her crests are well-kept, and has a smooth texture of a color matching the rest of her head. Regarding her clothing, she prefers a casual dress when she can, or a simple outfit if work/weather demands it; either way, she dresses modestly.

=== Old Life ===
Va'ynna grew up on Sanves, and had a quite normal childhood, if a bit on the less social side. She was raised only by her mother, and never heard anything about her father. Other than that, there's not much to say about it. She did above average in education, but has no finished tertiary education. Her mother wasn't a 'mother of the year' by a long shot, and the two hasn't spoken together for decades.

She's never really stayed with the same job for long, especially when social interaction was a vital part of it; even retail. While boring, she's been content with menial jobs that are out of sight, like organizing storage where machines to do so are impractical.

=== New Life ===
She eventually grew bored of the old life, and wanted to travel and see the galaxy like so many maidens do. She has been sparse on the details of her trip, but she went via Illium and arrived alone late at night. It's hard to imagine her doing that now, but back then she was quite different, and less unsure of herself.

Her first night at the [[Miner's Respite]] is one she remembers well, even if it left no lasting impact. She met another asari that had noticed her when she entered the bar, and talked with her for a few minutes. She was even offered a strong drink, but she did not have more than a sip of it before coughing and leaving it alone. The conversation ended abrupt when Va'ynna returned a question, and the asari stormed out instead of answering her. She never saw this person again.

Thankfully the company she met later on weren't all that bad. Meeting [[Jason Wolfe|Jason]] is the one she remembers best due to him being her guide to [[Freedom Falls]] in the beginning. She also met [[Zaylus Velrin]], who showed an interest for her, but she was also never truly comfortable around him.

=== Respite ===

[[Jason]] had offered Va'ynna to check if he could fit her in at [[Redrock Agency]], but she was a bit hesitant to work with mercenaries. She ended up working for the [[Miner's Respite]] in the end; however, being hired shortly after the change of ownership that occurred in November of 2184. [[Zaylus]] was a bit negative towards her job choice, but Jason had often encouraged her to ask for a job there.

Va'ynna settled into the job quite well, but would later start to train to work in the kitchen to be less out front as the asari was not as adept at interacting with people. They were out in the terminus systems where regulations are light, and they weren't making very advanced food, so it did not take her long to be considered qualified enough by Aylena.

She further expanded her repertoire of experience under the roof of the Respite from inventory keeping to housekeeping, and as the Respite grew more thinly staffed over the next year, that became increasingly useful. The only complaint she had was the long hours with only a break in the middle of the afternoon, but Va'ynna did not fight hard against it.

She had found her place, and she felt useful.

=== Target ===

Eventually, trouble would find her too. [[Va'ynna]] tipped [[Gren]] off that [[Aylena]] was about to leave for her court case, leading him to intercept her at the spaceport where she was next to a small ship. She was in a tense conversation with her niece [[Enila]] until he approached, but that asari left without hearing a word from the krogan. There was a salarian there too, who was swift to take his leave with just a message to Aylena. The ship she hired was more the spaceship equivalent of a small yacht, but Aylena said she trusted the hardware that was underneath the layers of decadence.

Aylena explained that she had just six hours in Nos Astra before the case, believing that limited exposure was too brief for any attacks on her person by the defendants' company. Gren worried for her, as she was one of the very few people he considered friends, but she allayed his concerns and promised to the right the imbalance in their friendship upon her return.

She ended up leaving without him.

Aylena was wrong. She had booked a hotel room near the court's scheduled location to spend the time waiting for it, and she was attacked by a gunship that gunned her down from the living room window. NAPF did shoot the gunship down, but no signs of the pilot were found by the time they had secured the wreckage; though footage does match her appearance to one of the defendants: [[Esseria Illeni]]

The news article states that Janysa (Aylena) was brought to a hospital that wished to remain undisclosed for her safety considering that the pilot was still at large.

Va'ynna brought the article up when talking with Jason at the [[Miner's Respite]], and he was frustrated that she had once again run off without warning [[Redrock]]. There was nothing they could do about it, other than writing her a stern message to her the same day, which [[Jason]] did.

== Summary ==
=== First Strike ===

It was just another day at the Respite when a young asari by the name of Lema stood up from her booth and went up to point a weapon at Aylena who was standing behind the bar at the time. [[Va'ynna]] was working in the kitchen then and was not witness to it. [[Gren]], [[Steve]] and [[Philip]] sprung to action and it did not take much convincing for the girl to throw her weapon and ask for help.

She explained that she had taken an easy job for a stranger that approached her on the street. A picture of Aylena (she called her Janysa Aehan) to confirm that she knew her and she would get five thousand credits. Then the parameters changed, and she was asked to shoot the bartender, or they'll kill her too. She managed to make a call to her employer who was frustrated with the lack of results, offering an implied warning to the others in the room that they were about to attack.

The first sign of trouble was the loss of the garage camera, and they could not get Aylena out of the bar until a sniper tried to take a shot at her. It grazed her crests, causing her to lose balance. The sniper did not take additional shots after Gren got her out of the bar, leaving Steve as the only point of contact for the cowering civilians. Philip called for reinforcements, to which Redrock sent [[Leah]], [[Uvena]] and [[Halisi]].

Then the garage door was breached, and an asari and a turian went through. The militia was gathering outside there too, but they did not try to enter the building yet. Halisi and Uvena also went in on that side. Leah, however, went to pursue the salarian sniper. She chased him down and captured him, and he answered a few questions, but he slipped out of her grasp before she managed to get him back to the Respite.

The turian in the garage was taken down first, but the asari proved to be a much more resilient and dangerous fighter. She even feigned a surrender once to get into the Respite, but Gren was not unbalanced and killed her. Philip was concussed in the krogan biotic's previous attempt to get her to the ground. Halisi and Uvena caught up to them, and the doctor was very appalled by how the krogan had killed the asari attacker, but she focused on getting Philip back to his feet.

[[Mian]] then went into the Respite to get a read on the situation for the militia, and Steve gave her the information they needed. Two of the attackers were dead, and the sniper was still at large. The salarian sniper's body would later turn up, killed by an off-duty militiaman.

=== Hike in the Woods ===

It has been a few weeks now since the attack at the Respite, and [[Ehanis]] was going out for a walk with [[Sioria]] in the woods near [[Road's End]] – where Ehanis lived at the time. It was pleasant despite the frigid -15°C temperature, and they spent a while exploring and talking. Ehanis had just returned from an [[Ruins of Rakhana|expedition to Rakhana]].

Then, out of the blue, a young asari came running through the woods towards them. She did not look like she was running from someone at the time, and they raised their guard for whatever she had planned. It became obvious what she was running from when she stumbled and an asari decloaked above her with a boot on her back. Ehanis and Sioria did not want to stand around and decided to call out the asari and tell her to fight something her size.

The attacker scoffed at the underequipped pair, but they did draw her attention away from the child at the moment. Ehanis did not know the advanced barrier like her sister, so she did the next best thing and used a personal barrier to keep Sioria safe behind her so the turian could fire back at the asari. Ehanis sustained a shoulder injury when her barrier drained faster than she could replenish it, but it was enough for Sioria to disarm the other asari.

There was no surrender, however. Instead, she used her biotics to pick up the child she was pursuing and threw her into the supports of the nearby watchtower, and then used a tactical cloak and a concussion grenade to disturb enough snow to cover her escape further. Sioria tended to Ehanis' injury first and then contacted Redrock while Ehanis saw to the asari child.

Redrock then secured the site and provided first aid and medevac for the asari child. Both [[Ilyna]] and [[Ehanis]] recognized her as [[Lema]], the child of one of Ehanis' neighbors. The name rung familiar to Jason too, naturally, and he was interested to find out what this was about.

=== No Respite ===
It did not take long between the incident in the woods before the same asari showed up at the [[Miner's Respite]]. She set her sights on [[Aylena]] within a minute of stepping inside and pulled the trigger twice before anyone could react. [[Yan Sun]] fired an overload towards her while she attempted to escape, breaking her cloak.

Reinforcements were already on their way as Jason had learned from [[Lema]] that this was related to the previous troubles. [[Zaylus]] and [[Nathan]] were already there but off duty. Jason ran around the building to cover the back exit, while [[Leah]] went through the front door. The three then pursued the attacker, but Leah stayed behind to stabilize Aylena as her injuries were quite severe. Zaylus was thrown back out by a well-placed biotic throw, but Nathan managed to throw off her aim and overwhelm her before she could mount a counterattack.

She then surrendered and was taken to the hospital along with Aylena.
