The Epidemis river is one of Aite's most notable. It originates from the western parts of the imposing [Dactyl Mountains Dactyl Mountain Range] that surrounds Freedom Falls to the south and west, with several tributaries that flow down the eastern faces of the Dactyl Mountains. The majority of the meltwater comes from Mount Epimedes, the tallest of the western range. The water is very clean, owing to the pristine condition of the Dactyl mountains. Freedom Falls is the largest, but far from the only settlement built along the river, and most of the town's power supply comes from the hydroelectric dam built to harness the energy of its flow. To the east, the river gradually breaks off into various distributaries, creating the far-reaching [[Dagessa Wetlands]].
