Photol

Photol are a species of pack predators native to the Dactyl Mountains on Aite.

Physical Attributes

Photol are roughly human-sized, reptilian animals with gray skin and a coat of white feathers that protect them from the cold of the snowy mountains that they call home. They look akin to overgrown, feathered Earth lizards. Photol are agile and excellent climbers, making them quite deadly hunters.

Behavior

Photol are pack hunters that stalk their prey through the treetops and rocks, relying on their feathery coats for camouflage. They are fairly intelligent, but aggressive and fearless, fully willing to attack sapient travelers. More than one unlucky colonist has had their life ended by Photol fangs.

Diet

Photol are omnivores that stalk the mountains for all manner of prey. When prey is sparse in the mountains they have been known to attack farms in the foothills, picking off cattle and even the occasional farmer.
