History
Founded in 2158 by former military Commander Richard Hitachi, Sandbeck Enforcement Agency began as a way to provide additional training support to military and law enforcement agencies located on both Earth and throughout the colonies. Sandbeck quickly found their services in high demand, particularly so on the edges of the human territories as many militias and local governments sought to defend themselves better, should another war break out. By 2159, Sandbeck had already established a private training facility on Earth. The facility became the central hub of Sandbeck operations and cemented themselves as a serious organization within the Alliance sphere. When the Systems Alliance parliament was established in 2160, Sandbeck was approached by representatives within the Alliance who offered them exclusive contracts to assist in the training of militias on newly established colonies in preparation for humanity's further expansion into the stars.
Within just five years, Sandbeck built up a formidable reputation as a reliable contractor and found both their numbers and pockets swelling. With the official recognition of humanity by the Council and the opening of an embassy on the Citadel, Sandbeck began seeking new avenues throughout Citadel space and even began recruiting other species into their ranks. By 2175, Sandbeck had grown exponentially. Now boasting two frigates and a sizeable force of professional military contractors, Sandbeck made the decision to expand into the military sector. Undergoing a name change to Sandbeck Peacekeeping Services, they began to act not simply as advisors and instructors, but also as a private military force. With a reputation as being professional and effective, they quickly found themselves accepting many new contracts.
When a surprise attack was launched against the human colony of Elysium, a small group of Sandbeck Peacekeepers, under the command of Sergeant Allan Pearson, were caught in the conflict. Originally there as part of a joint training exercise for the local forces, they found themselves operating alongside Alliance ground teams. The fireteam made a name themselves when they led a counter-offensive against a pirate strike-force that was attempting to raid the local area. Alongside Alliance soldiers, the fireteam managed to secure key locations and rescue civilians caught in the crossfire. When the Skyllian Blitz came to a close, Sergeant Pearson and his team were welcomed back as heroes to the company and, after lengthy talks with Alliance representatives, were chosen to help lead and develop the Sandbeck Rehabilitation and Rescue Unit; a division within Sandbeck that focused on the rescue of illegally enslaved civilians located both within Citadel and Terminus space.
By 2183, Sandbeck had grown to just over 10,000 personnelle and established smaller branches for themselves amongst the colonies and even on the Citadel itself. Their reach and talents extended into many different operations and they even began research and production of their own patent of armour and weaponry.
