Jake was part of the crew of an Eclipse starship that was shot down on Rakhana. After months of surviving with no way off in sight, she was one of only three remaining mercenaries, along with Mahmoud and Jake. Hope came in the form of a stranded Redrock crew - for sheltering them, the three Eclipse mercenaries were given passage to Illium on Redrock's ship.
