The SSV Istanbul is an Alliance cruiser with over a decade of history in leading piracy-suppression campaigns in the Skyllian Verge and Attican Traverse. Commissioned in 2172, the SSV Istanbul has recently been retrofitted with a Thanix cannon, the latest in ship-mounted firepower.
