Elena is an ex-Alliance combat engineer who makes a living as a mercenary.

Appearance
Elena is a fit woman with tan skin and brown eyes. She's currently sporting about an inch of dark hair. Her clothing usually consists of desert brown cargo pants with a tool belt and combat boots, as well as a matching military jacket and a gray tanktop.
When not wearing a jacket several tattoos are visible - a Systems Alliance Marine Corps logo on her left shoulder, and below it a pinup of a woman in an old-fashioned dress and sombrero as well as a bandolier, wielding a revolver in one hand and a grenade in the other. Adelita is written underneath. When in a tanktop the top part of a wing design can be seen on her shoulderblades, accompanied by a halo just below her neck. Hints of a red rose can usually be seen on the left side of her chest. On her right shoulder is a battlefield cross - an M-7 Lancer stuck by bayonet into the ground, with the blue closed-face helmet of an Alliance Marine resting atop the stock. A trio of dogtags hang from the stock as well, each with a name only visible up close. Below that is another notable feature: A cybernetic right hand that stretches partway up her lower arm. It is a fairly basic, skeletal prosthetic that likely offers little sensation. Flames are tattooed rising from the base of the cybernetic on all sides.
When in combat she wears a set of heavily modified Ajax Armor. The base color is desert brown, but the suit has been up-armored with several additional plates, most of them plain metal. Her armor is heavily decorated, and to a limited degree actually mirrors her tattoos. The backplate is painted with a set of angel wings and a halo, and the left shoulder has another 'Adelita' pinup, although this one in a different pose and holding a lever-action rifle. On the rear of her armor pants is scrawled the words Beso mi culo along with an imprint of lips in red. Her crotch-plate is stamped with the text 100% Vat-Grown in a style identical to that used for food items in Alliance space. Her right shoulder has a half-finished drawing of a skull, and her chestplate has the text This space intentionally left blank on it. Finally, her helmet sports a giant, sharp-toothed grin stretching from ear to ear across the breathing apparatus.

Elena is a capable combat engineer, combining mechanical knowledge from her childhood with Systems Alliance training. Field repair, defensive construction and demolitions all fall within her skillset. She also claims to be able to pilot a wide variety of vehicles, but the accuracy of these claims is not quite clear.

Elena is a fully trained Alliance marine and can handle herself well in the field, although she generally carries a light weapons loadout, relying on her engineering equipment to give her and her team the edge needed to win.
Language
Growing up in the southern outskirts of the Texan megacity means Elena grew up speaking primarily Spanish, but English came into her life early on, and after joining the Alliance it has become the language she uses the most, although with some Spanish mixed in every now and then.
