Rellis' Contract

Redrock Agency was approached by Rellis Darennon for a job to assault Kalus Security's headquarters. The reason given was that Kalus would end up being a danger to more than his men, as well as alleged shady activities. Redrock Agency succeeded with their job, inflicting minimal casualty upon Kalus' mercenaries, even if the turian commander was killed in action. They were paid 40,000 per commited mercenary.

It was not over yet, however, because a day later Rellis attempted to beat two birds with one stone by having [Siveya] attack [Va'ynna] while he would assassinate her immediately after. This failed, making Siveya miss the mark and fight off [Rellis]

After Rellis was chased off, Siveya explains her story and what she was doing, but admitted to not knowing why Va'ynna was chosen as a target, and the motivation for that remains unknown to this day. She speculated that it was a mere busywork order to keep her and Kalus separated.

Location

They mission site was in a mostly destroyed town that's been through two governments that both ended brutally with a disheartening amount of collateral damage; especially the second. Now, it's simply more worthwhile to find a free spot of land than to try to take this. There's good game in the forests and rivers nearby, but all the known minerals deposits are mostly mined out.

It's littered with broken buildings and prefabs. A warehouse and a station for public transportation are the only buildings left standing, though they've taken enough damage and the repairs are mostly internal and to make sure they don't fall apart. Only scavengers have taken an interest in that place, but even that has dried up with Kalus having driven off the few that still come to pick the bones.

The mission mostly took place in the old warehouse that Kalus Security used as their base. It was renovated during the second government to serve as the town's security force's base of operations and accomadation. It was not finished before its end, but Kalus Security did complete it.

Mission Summary

• Redrock Agency arrived at a forest clearing north of Kalus Security's base. Rellis had disabled the surveillance systems, offering Redrock a chance to move in on the compound undected.
• The agency split into two teams, one attacking the garage and one taking the hallway from the other side.
• Urret, a krogan working at the security firm stormed out of the garage and was taken down by the combined fire of all mercenaries watching it.
• After a lengthy assault without any more casualties, the besieged mercenaries agreed to surrender. Kalus, however, was still holding his ground in an old building.
• Jason escorted Renala to their surveillance / computer room and had her grab whatever datya she could.
• After that was done, Renala was left to watch the surrendering mercenaries while they pushed on the entrenched commander.
• While they were pushing him, Kim Polner snuck around the flank and managed to get onto the roof to get the jump on him. After a very short fight, the commander was dead.
• They collected the modified M-92 Mantis sniper rifle.
• Redrock agency regrouped and returned to town.
• Rellis Darennon paid for the job in full.

Trivia

- In the unused Eezo-plot that this is heavily based on, Rellis was and not part of the plot beyond the first event, let alone the central character he is now. - The name Urret is based on "Ørret", the Norwegian word for the European brown trout.
