Lowell City is the capital of Mars, located in Eos Chasma. The city was founded in 2103 by the European Space Agency. The settlement is contained mostly under a massive bio-dome that protects it from the harsh atmosphere of Mars, but research stations, factories and even some sealed housing units surround the city proper. Lowell City, like the rest of Mars, is often considered something of a backwater, its development largely abandoned for more promising prospects after the discovery of FTL travel at the Prothean Archives on the very same planet.
