Dasgupta was one of the security officers aboard the MSV Galahad. She was sent along with her colleague Paul O'Clery to accompany Redrock's team in investigating the Ogofau Asteroid Mine after communication was lost. She was killed when unknown covert operatives hijacked the Redrock shuttle.
